Practice philosophy: I strive to build an understanding, authentic, and collaborative relationship with clients. I view mental health as one piece of wellness and strives to take a holistic approach to health and wellness. I use cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and person-centered approaches, striving to meet clients where they are at. My goal is to empower clients with skills, confidence, and peace as they navigate life’s many challenges and move toward living a full, meaningful life.
What are you passionate about and why? I have experience working with a range of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic or disabling medical conditions, self-harm, suicidality, emotion dysregulation, and life transitions. I also enjoy working with those who have a disability and identify as LGBTQ+.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? A coffee barista!
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I’m inspired by resilience and connection in tough times. Helping others find strength and purpose is my passion, and my work lets me make that a reality.
What is something you have learned from your patients? My patients have taught me the beauty of resilience. Through their stories of healing amid life-changing challenges, I've learned that strength shines brightest in our toughest moments.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? I love the challenge of helping people with complex, layered struggles find their joy, peace, and purpose. It’s rewarding to witness their growth and adaptability.
What is your personal health goal? My goal is to nurture balance and joy in both mind and body for lifelong well-being.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? The best health choice I’ve made is letting go of unrealistic expectations and societal pressures, focusing instead on being mindful of what my body and mind most need in any given moment.
What are you most proud of? I’m most proud of becoming a mama to my two little ones while also following my passion to become a psychologist—finding synthesis in nurturing my family and career has been an incredibly fulfilling journey.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Rescuing many sweet pit bulls over the years. Teaching my toddler how to yell, "Go Pack Go!". Winning a co-ed soccer league (despite going into playoffs in last) with my husband.
