Practice philosophy: Practicing with respect for the inherent dignity, worth and uniqueness of every individual. My practice will always be patient-centered and based on evidence.
What are you passionate about and why? The adult geriatric population has always had a special place in my heart. This population tends to be easily overlooked and undervalued. My primary focus is to improve their quality of life so they can continue to live the life they desire.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? The nearly devastating disease of my son where a provider refused my wishes to my own life-threatening unexpected illness where a provider went above and beyond for life saving measures.
What is something you have learned from your patients? I have learned from my patients to practice with respect for all human beings. Building a trusting relationship takes top priority. Listening is the best attribute.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? One challenge I experience in this career is stay on time. I will take the time that is necessary in order for patients to get excellent care they deserve.
What is your personal health goal? Continued growth in physical, mental and spirituality
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Leading a life of self-care, balancing of work and home life. Limiting work hours was my best decision. I tend to lead with my heart making it difficult for me to balance between the two at times.
What are you most proud of? Developing a practice that is genuine, tailored to each individual. I try to put myself in patient's shoes. Approaching treatment with a holistic view and at the same time focusing on their goals.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Growing a hospice company from startup to a successful organization. Maintaining lifelong friendships and trying to always put family first.
