Practice philosophy: My goal is to treat each individual patient through an interdisciplinary team approach to achieve the best possible outcomes for the patient. I recognize a cancer diagnosis is life changing and want to be available to patients to answer questions and provide recommendations using the most up to date data to ensure the best level of care.
What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about traveling. The world is so large and so diverse. There are so many different ways to see things and ways to solve problems. I enjoy experiencing new cultures, new perspectives, different ideas and learning about places.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? A teacher.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? My father died of a very rare blood disease when I was 11 years old. I decided then that I wanted to be a doctor.
What is something you have learned from your patients? Optimism.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Many breast cancer patients who come to see me are very anxious and scared. I enjoy being able to provide a path forward and providing them with hope because our outcomes continue to improve.
What is your personal health goal? To maintain balance in my life.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? To prioritize good sleep.
