What is your practice philosophy? I believe that every patient is unique in their own way and should be treated to their specific needs. Treatment plans should include shared decision making between the patient and the provider, with communication and understanding playing a key role in the treatment process.  

What are you passionate about? And why? I am passionate about helping patients restore function and improve their quality of life. As an active person myself, exercise and physical well-being is a core value of mine.  

If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: Gym Owner  

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I decided to become a Physician Assistant after doing some shadowing as an undergraduate student. It was amazing to see how these providers impacted their patients. I have always enjoyed helping others and this career has allowed me to do that.  

Something I have learned from my patients is: Communication is key for optimal patient outcomes.   

One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why):  Medicine in real life is not always how it is in the textbook! This allows for continual learning and growth.  

My personal health goal is: To complete a full Ironman at some point in my life.  

What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? The best thing I have done for my health is exercise consistently. My grandfather taught me this from a young age. He rode his stationary bike everyday even when he was well into his 80s!  

What are you most proud of? Mission trips to Guatemala where I helped build homes for less fortunate families.  

What are a few of your personal achievements? Summited Mount Rainier in 2018 and ran my first marathon in 2019
