Practice philosophy: My practice philosophy centers on treating the whole person - not just symptoms. I believe mental health is deeply connected to physical wellness, nutrition, lifestyle and personal experience. My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers patients to actively participate in their own long term well being.
What are you passionate about and why? I am deeply passionate about supporting women and adults through life's transitions by addressing the full spectrum of mental and physical health symptoms. I am especially interested in how nutrition, hormones and lifestyle influence mental health and emotional resilience.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? I would work in a creative field such as fashion. I find joy in creativity and self-expression!
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I've always been fascinated by people - their stories, patterns, emotions and the many factors that shape who they are and how they relate to the world.
What is something you have learned from your patients? My patients have taught me so much about resilience and self-awareness. Through their courage, I've learned how people can face and over come extraordinary challenges.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Supporting people through pain that isn't always visible to others. Mental health still carries stigma and helping patients navigate their vulnerable moments while fostering hope can be demanding.
What is your personal health goal? To nurture both physical and emotional wellness through mindful living.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Prioritize my mental and physical wellbeing! I stay active, eat nourishing food, prioritize sleep, challenge my mind. Meditation and mindfulness also help me stay grounded, spiritually connected!
What are you most proud of? Creating a nutritional psychiatry group in collaboration with our registered dieticians. It's a exciting initiative that brings together mental health and nutrition to support patients. Seeing this program come to life and witnessing the impact it has had on our patients has been rewarding.
