What is your practice philosophy? My goal is to help patients understand their diagnosis, create a treatment plan, and assist patients in getting back to their desired level of activity.
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: Wedding planner. I have always had a soft spot for weddings. I even considered majoring in event planning in college!
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I knew I wanted to go into sports medicine after having multiple orthopedic surgeries starting in high school. I saw first hand how much of an impact the orthopedic team had on my life and I knew that was the career for me!
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): One of the challenges in orthopedics is that no two patients are the same, from their injury to their rehab to their long term goals. I enjoy working with each individual to give them the best possible results.
My personal health goal is To run a 10K at Disney World with my sister.
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? The best thing I have done for my health is to prioritize being active every day. Even if it is just for a few minutes, it can be very rewarding.
What are a few of your personal achievements? I have been actively involved in assisting in organizing and running an annual soccer tournament for over 12 years. It has been very rewarding seeing the players grow and the joy they have in participating in the tournament.
