What is your practice philosophy? To treat patients as if they were family. My goal is to provide compassionate, quality, and patient-centered care focusing on the unique needs of patients and their families.
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about working with patients (as a team) to help them become the healthiest version of themselves.
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: I would be a bed and breakfast owner because I enjoy connecting with people, preparing food, and historic homes. This may be something that I’ll do when I retire in 30 years or so!
Why did you become a provider? My grandmother was a nurse, and I grew up hearing stories of how she positively impacted patient’s lives.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): One of the challenges of medicine is that it is always changing. I have always considered myself a lifelong learner, so this is one of the aspects I enjoy most about medicine-staying up to date on current treatment guidelines, so that I can best serve patients and their families
My personal health goal is: Exercise at least 40 minutes daily and drink more water!
Favorite Health Tips:
- Have fun! Most people approach exercise (and dieting) as something that they need to do or should do, instead of something that they want to do. The best exercise plan is one that you can stick to. I recommend trying different types of exercise until you find an exercise that you really enjoy doing.
- Never miss exercising on a Monday. Mondays set the tone and pattern for the rest of the week and can help build momentum to exercise the remainder of the week.
- A smile and positive attitude go a long way!
