Best part of my work or a patient visit: Seeing my patients overcome physical, emotional, and social barriers as they achieve health stability. Laughing with my patients.
Why I became a physician/provider: I have always worked with people who have medical challenges. After years of leading wilderness adventures with clients who often had profound disabilities, I wanted to understand more about staying healthy in the setting of chronic illness.
What I tell friends and family: Move you body every day (even in the winter). You do not need a health club to get healthy. Start walking.
How I spend my free time: Playing with my kids, bicycling, running, movies.

I enjoy caring for patients as part of a care team that includes internal medicine resident physicians, social workers and nurses. I focus on helping patients to manage their chronic illnesses. I see patients as part of a care team with resident physicians in both the hospital and the clinic.
I have a special interest in caring for patients with limited financial resources.
