Why I became a physician: I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age six. My family doctor diagnosed and managed my diabetes, encouraging me to not let diabetes prevent me from doing anything that I wanted to do. I want to take care of and encourage people the same way that he did.
What I tell my friends and family: Exercise often, stay fit, eat right and do the things you enjoy doing.
How I spend my free time: Spending time with my wife and three kids, watching and playing sports, fly fishing for trout.
