Practice philosophy: My philosophy is to partner with patients and their families to help them author their best health story. I recognize that it is my professional duty to make sure that my patients benefit from the latest clinical guidelines and evidenced-based approaches.

I am passionate about: Learning. I’m a lifelong learner. I have graduate degrees in Latin American and Peninsular Literature, Social Work, and Nursing. I feel energized when I’m learning something new, and my background gives me various lenses or paradigms to approach clinical problems. 

If I wasn't a provider, I would be a: Museum curator somewhere in Spain. I love European modern art and I am particularly interested in the intersection between history and art. 

I became a provider because: I value time spent with patients in their most vulnerable moments. I also enjoy celebrating small wins with patients, and helping patients draw from their personal strengths to achieve their health goals.

My personal health goal: To qualify for the Boston Marathon after missing it by only nine seconds in my last attempt.

Best thing I've done for my health: I find that a combination of getting eight hours of sleep every night and jogging for three miles three times per week improves my mental performance and my mood.
