Rachel Naslund, DO
- Adolescent Health
I am a board-certified pediatrician with professional interests in asthma, eczema and adolescent health.
Hometown: Lino Lakes, MN
I'm passionate about: Maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I love that medicine provides the opportunity to be a lifelong learner and that it is always improving and adapting. Equally as important is maintaining strong relationships with friends and family outside of work.
Something I've learned from my patients is: Flexibility. Families come from all different backgrounds and approach their child's health differently, so working together with families is essential.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: Educating families on their child’s conditions and giving them the knowledge of why we are making certain decisions for their child.
My personal health goal is: I would love to explore more outdoor activities since there are so many opportunities in MN! I would also like to complete a full triathlon at some point in my life.
I'm most proud of: my daughter. I love spending time with her and watching her change and grow.
A few of my personal achievements include: traveling to all 50 states, and completing two half marathons.
Practice philosophy: I enjoy talking to my patients and families about preventive medicine. Kids are generally healthy, but there are still things we can do to keep them healthy and safe!
