I am a certified nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine. I have professional interests in women's health, preventive care and orthopedics. I offer face-to-face virtual visits for a variety of health services and conditions.
I became a provider because: I love to connect with patients and families, building positive relationships. I knew I wanted to be a provider when I was completing my bachelor's degree to be a registered nurse. I wanted to do more for the community and connect with patients so they feel confident and comfortable with all their care.
Something I have learned from my patients is: actively listening is so valuable. Through actively engaging in conversation, I can connect with them on a more personal level.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: learning about cultural diversity and working with the patient to create an individualized plan. Cultural roots are so important and working with the patient to obtain health while prioritizing their beliefs is a great challenge that I enjoy overcoming.
I am passionate about: maintaining positive relationships with family and friends. I believe family is the core to our foundation and friendship is the backbone we need to help us through the good and bad.
If I wasn't a provider, I would be a: pastry chef - I love to bake.
My personal health goal is: to complete a 5K without walking!
