I am a family medicine physician with professional interests in diabetes, geriatrics, pediatrics, preventive care, osteopathic manipulative medicine and women's health. I offer face-to-face virtual visits for a variety of health services and conditions.
I am passionate about: forming strong, long-term relationships with my patients and their families and learning about each patient's unique background. I love educating patients on their disease process to motivate change. Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter and family, traveling, running and exercising.
I knew I wanted to become a doctor after: idolizing my pediatrician as early as I can remember. I knew I wanted to find a career in which I would end each day knowing that I helped someone in some way. I knew family medicine was the best fit for me because I love the breadth of knowledge it requires and each day always presents a new challenge.
Something I have learned from my patients is: that each patient is unique and has different goals and motivations in mind. Letting my patients be my guide in tailoring a treatment plan specific to these goals and motivations is essential to my practice.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: the commitment to life-long learning and working with each patient's specific goals and barriers to provide comprehensive care.
My personal health goal is to: maintain work-life balance, stay active, eat well and surround myself with positive people who drive me to be a better person.
