I am a certified nurse practitioner specializing in diabetes, endocrinology and metabolism. I have professional interests in type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes, thyroid disorders, and diabetes technologies including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems.
I offer face-to-face virtual visits for a variety of health services and conditions.
I became a provider because: I want to help people to feel in control of their health. I know how hard chronic health conditions can be and I am honored to walk alongside people through hard and happy times.
One of the challenges of this career is: talking to patients about barriers to managing their diabetes. Whether it’s fear of needles or not wanting to test their blood sugar in public, there is always a solution. It’s a tough topic because it is work and you can’t quit a disease like diabetes -- you have to do the work day in and day out. The exciting thing is that there is new technology being developed to make it easier to manage and get control.
