I am a board-certified family medicine and obstetrics physician with professional interests in newborn and well child care, women's health, pregnancy care, contraception and skin issues. I offer face-to-face virtual visits for a variety of health services and conditions.
I am passionate about: health literacy and ensuring my patients and community know as much as they can about their health. I also love getting to know my patients on a deeper level and developing a lasting relationship that is based on working together as a team.
If I wasn't a provider, I would be a: biology teacher because I enjoy helping kids understand this exciting and fascinating subject all about Life!
My patients have taught me: that ensuring their complaints are well heard is incredibly important.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: that a disease or condition may present in over a hundred different ways, but by listening to each patient's individual story and experience, I am able to work with them to get closer to answering their concerns.
My personal health goal is: to hike the entirety of the Superior Hiking Trail in Northern Minnesota.
The best thing I have done for my health is: staying active by choosing activities that I enjoy such as hiking, yoga, and biking. I support my mental, spiritual and emotional health by being involved with church, music, art, and aiming for 8 hours of sleep per night.
One of the best pieces of health advice I have received is: to cook and eat at home.
