I am a family medicine doctor providing disease management, immigration health, preventive health and sports medicine. I also offer face-to-face virtual visits for a variety of health services and conditions.
Hometown: Saint Paul, Minnesota.
If I wasn't a provider, I would be a: chef or race car driver. I like to try new foods from different cultures and have always had a love for cars.
I became a provider because: I was first a patient that needed to be taken care of. The excellent care that I experienced really made a difference and motivated me to provide others that same great care.
My patients have taught me: that every patient is first a human being, and to take time to get to know each individual and respect their circumstances.
A challenge of this career that I enjoy is: talking to patients and other providers from different cultural backgrounds. This careers is not just about one discipline, but constantly learning new perspectives about the aspects of multiple disciplines such as spiritual, religious, cultural, or community health.
My favorite travel destination is: Minnesota. It has always been a great place to come back to with beautiful state parks, wildlife and amazing lakes.
My personal health goal is: to eventually participate in a marathon.
Favorite health tip: Good health is a habit and a lifestyle.
I am most proud of: becoming the first physician in my family.
