I am a licensed clinical psychologist with professional expertise in the application of third wave behavior therapies for people with addiction, chronic pain, rehabilitation and health management issues. I also train providers in third-wave interventions, case concepting, and program implementation, particularly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and chronic pain management.

Why I became a provider: I realized as a young adult that I was able to connect with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and life experiences, and help them improve their quality of life.

Practice philosophy: Research shows that about 50 percent of treatment outcomes are directly linked to the provider-client relationship. This is why it is so important that you feel comfortable with the therapist you choose, and optimistic about therapy. My ability to help you stems directly from a combination of my experience, my training, and the benefit of learning from the thousands of people whom I have worked with. The fundamental goal of my treatment is to help you more clearly identify, remove barriers to, and more consistently connect to your core values.

Additional information: Since 2005, I have been heavily involved in the ACT research and training community. I enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, and have done so in inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and outpatient settings.
