I knew I wanted to be a doctor: in college, where I discovered my love of science while also reaffirming my desire to work directly with people. I knew I wanted to use my knowledge to positively impact peoples' lives. I am pleased I chose family medicine as my specialty.
I am passionate about: nature. I find the outdoors both relaxing and invigorating. I love learning about and experiencing nature with my wife and our two young boys.
My favorite movie is: Field of Dreams. I grew up near the movie site and some of my family participated in its filming. The movie has personal meaning to me and my family as well.
If I wasn't a doctor, I would be a: high school biology teacher and tennis coach.
Something I have learned from my patients is: how to deal with life's curve balls. I am often inspired by my patients as they encounter unpredictable changes in life.
My personal health goal is: paying more attention to the ingredients and preparation required to make the food I eat. As a result, I have been cooking more, growing my own vegetables and reading food labels. Not only has my diet become healthier, but I am also eating better tasting food.
