I am a float pool physician and see patients at multiple Allina Health clinics as needs arise, such as when a regular clinic provider is on an extended leave of absence. While patients are unable to establish regular care with me, I am committed to helping patients navigate their care.
I offer face-to-face virtual visits for a variety of health services and conditions.
Personal interests: Spending time with my immediate and extended family and friends, reading, spending quiet and connected time in nature, skiing, mountain biking, hiking, photography, other creative arts and organic gardening.
Favorite health tip: Get outside every day. Take time to slow down, notice the world around you, and breathe. Prioritize connecting with those you love. While it feels great to accomplish things that are important to you, it is also valuable and necessary to rest and care for yourself.
Practice philosophy: I believe in caring for the whole-person -- body, mind and spirit. A critical part of this is recognizing family, community, cultural, social and economic factors that impact an individual's life and health. I take the time to listen and value meeting each person where they are in their life and health journey. I work with individuals to develop a health plan that is realistic and fits with their goals and values. I am a curious lifelong learner and spend time reading and thinking deeply about medicine on a regular basis.
Best part of my patient visit: The best part of my work is the opportunity to truly connect with each patient. I value hearing each person's unique story in order to understand how I can best support them.
Why I became a physician: I became a physician out of a strong commitment to social justice and my conviction that all people deserve access to affordable, compassionate, quality health care.
