I became a provider because: I've always loved caring for others, helping them solve problems and finding ways to improve health. My primary provider was a nurse practitioner and I always hoped I could inspire and help others as she did for me!
I am passionate about: food and travel. Nothing excites me like getting to try an ethnic dish or restaurant I haven't tried before in a place I've never been.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: the cultural, social and personality differences of my patients. Along with diversity, the unique needs of each patient are very different. I love getting to know all aspects of a patient, so I can better help him or her reach a health goal.
My personal health goal is: to maintain a healthy lifestyle, stable weight and never forget to celebrate health achievements, no matter how small they may seem!
Something I have learned from my patients is: we all have unique ways of expression and by careful and active listening, I can find out what is of most important to each individual.
