I am a board-certified family medicine physician with professional interests in preventive medicine, office-based procedures and pediatric care. I offer face-to-face virtual visits for a variety of health services and conditions.
Hometown: Minneapolis, MN
Most people don’t know that: I enjoy hunting morel mushrooms every spring in southeast Minnesota. I ran my first 10k last spring and I also have a black belt in karate.
My favorite destination is: New Zealand. It is a spectacular place with wonderful scenery, great food and very friendly people; not to mention plenty of outdoor activities and great wine!
I became a doctor because: I want to help people, but also help them when they are in a difficult place in their lives, dealing with a health problem or crisis. I decided to be a doctor in college as it was the perfect career to combine my love of science, and my desire to work closely with people.
If I wasn’t in medicine, I would be a: travel writer. I love to travel, try new foods and wine, and be outdoors.
A challenge of my career I enjoy: is educating patients on their health and better living. Education is the key to patients’ understanding and will ultimately improve their health outcomes.
My personal health goal is: to exercise every day, even if it’s only for a short time. Exercise is one of the best medicines there is and I try to follow my own advice!
