I’ve always had an affinity to sports. Growing up in New Jersey I played soccer, field hockey, lacrosse and was on the swim team. Prior to medical school I was a Division I athlete and assistant coach at the University of Iowa. I’ve always enjoyed working with athletes, and served as team physician for the Minnesota Thunder from 2005-2009. Currently I’m a MNUFC, Macalester College and Metropolis Rugby team physician.
I love getting to know my patients and educating them about their injuries to get them back to doing the activities that they love most. I also love being outside, and if I wasn’t an orthopedic surgeon I would be a park ranger.
Specialty: Board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports knee and shoulder injuries. Additional board certification in orthopedic sports medicine, encompassing advanced arthroscopic techniques and reconstructive surgery.
Philosophy: Educate patients about their anatomy, diagnosis and treatment options; partner with them on decision making for treatment and next steps.
