I work a majority of the time in the water providing aquatic therapy, but also provide land exercise, pain education and some manual therapy treatments.
Conditions I treat most often include: general orthopedic (low back, neck) pain, persistent pain, work injuries, neurologic conditions (stroke, Parkinson's, MS), fibromyalgia, geriatric rehabilitation, post-surgical rehabilitation, deconditioning and frailty.
Best part of my work: Seeing the smiles on people's faces when they enter the pool and feel the therapeutic effects of water.
Why I became a physical therapist: To help people help themselves regain function and vitality.
