I am a doctor of podiatry specializing in foot and ankle surgery.
Hometown: Ankeny, IA
Best part of my work: People often leave my clinic feeling better than when they came in.
Why I became a physician: I loved learning about how our bodies work. Now I can use that information to help people feel better.
What I tell my friends and family: Pay attention to your body and treat it with respect.
Personal interests: Training for triatholons, traveling with friends, backpacking, reading, cooking.
What patients say about me: I am told that I provide very detailed explanation s of the problems they are having.
Favorite health tip: In the winter, we see frostbite and a lot of foot and ankle fractures caused by falls. You need to be mindful of your environment. Wear warm boots with good traction or add ice traction devices to your shoes.
Practice philosophy: Exercise is the fountain of youth.
