I am a Team Care Provider (TCP) and help cover appointments, online messages and calls as an extension of your care team. I work with Kristen Cozad, MD, Nicole Loeding, MD, Makayla Mitchell, DNP, APRN, Rosalie Siy, MD, Crispin Webb, MD, and am able to help when your primary care provider does not have availability. While patients are unable to establish regular care with me, I diagnose, treat and manage various health conditions, order diagnostic tests, prescribe medications and provide patient education and counseling, keeping your provider informed along the way.
Practice philosophy: As a nurse practitioner, my practice philosophy is rooted in the belief that I have the privilege and responsibility to support individuals and families through both their most challenging and most empowering moments. I am committed to partnering with patients to help them achieve their optimal health and improve their overall outcomes. I approach care with compassion, equity, and a strong sense of advocacy, always striving to provide the same level of care I would want for myself.
What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about about advancing health equity, delivering patient-centered care, and ensuring that all patients receive high-quality, compassionate care.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Marine biologist.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? While I deeply value my nursing experience, I chose to advance my career as a nurse practitioner to take a more active role in patient care and make a broader impact.
What is something you have learned from your patients? To really listen and meet them where they are.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Unexpected health outcomes can be both disappointing and challenging. As a provider, I strive to help patients navigate these moments with compassion and a commitment to their overall well-being.
What is your personal health goal? Better eating habits.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? The best advice I have received is to focus on small, consistent wins and not focus on making drastic changes. Sustainable habits come from consistency.
What are you most proud of? Advancing my education.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Involvement in quality improvement initiatives and projects.
