Practice philosophy: I believe that healing comes in all forms and it is my goal to help my patients uncover their best selves in whatever way is meaningful to them. I work with each patient to help them feel empowered to rewrite their narrative, heal their wounded parts, and feel comfortable treating their mental health just like they would their physical health.
What are you passionate about and why? I love to learn! I enjoy finding trainings for new therapy modalities and incorporating them into my practice. In order to give the most to my patients, I find it important to have many different modalities to lean on and draw from.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Event planner/project manager.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? After a few years in community mental health, I decided to become a social worker/therapist to continue serving people on a more direct level and build lasting connections with others.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Every day there is the opportunity for a new situation that I have never seen before, and I have to stay present for my patient. It's more a learning opportunity than a challenge.
