Practice philosophy: Embrace all with openness, enthusiasm, and integrity, and serve others as I would serve myself.
What are you passionate about and why? I'm passionate about the pursuit of knowledge and understanding because within those things lies the power to make positive change. Through a continual pursuit of knowledge, I can ensure that I always operate at the top of my abilities without succumbing to complacency.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Strength and conditioning coach.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a provider because I was once seen by a "less than perfect" PT; I then made it my life's mission to ensure that no patients be treated the way I was and make real change within the field.
What is something you have learned from your patients? Behind the patient, there is a very unique and diverse person and not one of them are the same. They might have the same diagnosis, but that doesn't mean they should be treated the same by any means.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Navigating through multiple complex patient cases is an interesting challenge because it allows you the opportunity to develop complex pattern recognition and develop strong clinical judgement.
What is your personal health goal? Be walking, talking, and active in my terminal decade of life.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? The best things I've done for my personal health is restore my diet to single-ingredient foods as much as possible, lift heavy weights and be active throughout the day, and get very good sleep.
What are you most proud of? My wife and her accomplishments, tenacity, and courage as a mother, and my beautiful daughter and her heart melting smile.
What are a few of your personal achievements? United States Marine Corps Veteran (sergeant in the infantry for 4 years); PT program class leader; Personal trainer for more than 10 years; S&C coach for more than 6 years; Son, Brother, Husband, Father.
