What are you passionate about and why? Utilizing my knowledge and skills to truly impact the lives of patients undergoing neurosurgical interventions and through honesty building trusting relationships that enhance patient-centered care.

If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? A coach.

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? After years of working as critical care RN in the ICU, I returned to school and completed my degree and transitioning to a Certified Nurse Practitioner.

What is something you have learned from your patients? Honest and transparency mean more to patients and families who are dealing with the impacts on their lives form neurosurgical interventions.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? I enjoy the challenge of having to adjust and individualized the needs of each patient I care for. I have always strived at being flexible and changing the plans quickly.

What is your personal health goal? To remain active and continue to enjoy sports and outdoor activities with my children.

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Remaining active. Going outside every chance I get, even in the winter months.

What are you most proud of? Professional I am most proud of returning to school and completing my FNP-DNP degree.

What are a few of your personal achievements? I have been happily married for 18 years. Helping raise my two children is the highlight of my life.
