Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? To help others in a field that is always growing and changing.
What is something you have learned from your patients? They taught me discipline and persistence to reach any goal.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? My field is one of the most complex specialties. This keeps things new and interesting. It also garners respect from colleagues who come to you with some of their toughest questions.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Find active hobbies and don't be afraid to try new things.
What are you most proud of? My wife.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Chief fellow for Indiana University infectious disease division, scuba certification and becoming an Eagle Scout.
