Practice philosophy: As a dietitian specializing in weight management, my practice is centered on empowering individuals to achieve sustainable, healthy weight loss through personalized nutrition strategies. I believe in a realistic approach which fosters a positive relationship with food, focusing on long-term health rather than quick fixes. I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that supports each person’s unique needs and lifestyle.
What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about helping individuals achieve their health goals through personalized, sustainable nutrition.
What drives me is the ability to empower others to not only lose weight but to adopt long-lasting habits that improve their overall well-being.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? If I weren’t a dietitian, I’d be a chef or a travel agent, exploring creativity and cultures.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I realized this was the field for me during college, when I developed a deep interest in how food affects health. It felt like the perfect fit, combining my love for science and passion for food.
What is something you have learned from your patients? The importance of patience, resilience and self-compassion as each patient's journey is unique. I've learned that weight loss is not just about physical changes, but also about non-scale victories.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Combating misinformation about diets and health, which often confuses patients. As a dietitian, I strive to be a trusted source of evidence-based support and guidance.
What is your personal health goal? My personal health goal is to maintain balance through mindful eating, regular exercise, and self-care.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? The best thing I've done for myself is giving myself grace—allowing room for imperfections and progress. The best advice I've received is to focus on progress, not perfection, and trust the process.
What are you most proud of? I’m most proud of my ability to adapt to each patient’s unique needs and challenges. This flexibility allows me to provide personalized support while remaining resilient in the face of setbacks or difficulties, both for myself and my patients.
What are a few of your personal achievements? The simple yet meaningful accomplishments I’ve made this past year in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, such as building a garden and staying committed to my exercise routine despite life changes.
