Practice philosophy: I make a concerted effort to treat the patient in front of me rather than treating a disease or a lab result. That primarily means meeting someone where they're at and helping them achieve their goals all while providing my own expertise on what could help get them there.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I saw mental health as a serious issue that needed serious attention, and I wanted to be someone to be a resource and a listening ear for people when mental health issues arose for them.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Inevitably there are times when patient and provider disagree. This discord is often where growth happens, for patient and doctor, as long as patience and respect are mutual.
