I partner with patients to help them optimize wellness and meet their healthcare goals using a whole person approach incorporating mind, body and spirit philosophy. I practice medicine with transparent honesty, a sense of humor, and compassion.

English professor - I love people's stories and teaching
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you?
I was an AmeriCorps Health Coach at a FQHC. I was initially intimidated worried I wouldn't fit in. I realized medicine can be person-family-community centered. It was then that I felt I belonged.
What is something you have learned from your patients?
Enjoy the moment. As cheesy as it sounds, I've learned from my patients to take a pause, breathe for a minute, and find the small moments of joy in the present.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why?
I enjoy creativily merging evidence based medicine with a patient's community environment. I hope to empower individuals to meet their wellness goals outside the walls of the hospital or clinic.
What is your personal health goal?
Move by body everyday doing something I think is fun - walking the dogs, weight lifting, gardening
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received?
Go outside!
