What are you passionate about and why? Connecting with patients and their family members so they feel comfortable with me to be a partner in their health journey. I am most passionate about helping patients feel seen and heard, in hopes of identifying where small changes can lead to a longer, healthier life.

If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? The neighbor people can count on for help.

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? Since I was a teenager, I have known I would be a healthcare provider. I enjoy the process of figuring out a problem and then being able to fix it.

What is something you have learned from your patients? Patience. To help people, you must be patient and allow them to speak their concerns, or you will miss key information.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Meeting the individualized needs of each patient. Navigating the world of medicine is complicated, and I enjoy empowering people with the ability to care for themselves.

What is your personal health goal? Improve my cardiovascular fitness.

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Step on the scale every day to hold yourself accountable.

What are you most proud of? My three girls, when they speak and act with compassion toward others.

What are a few of your personal achievements? Emergency Room charge, preceptor, triage, and stabilization room nurse throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Precepted interns and new graduates, resulting in multiple competent facility hires.
