If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Photographer. I love capturing life's special moments and having a tangible memento of a memory.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? Experience with inspiring medical providers when I was young persuaded me to focus on the medical field. Providing others the same care and dedication has encouraged me to continue my education.
What is something you have learned from your patients? Taking time to listen to each patient's unique story is important in building a trusting relationship. Everyone has different healthcare goals. It is important to individualize each patient's care.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Every day in healthcare is a new experience and no two days are ever the same. These new experiences allow for continuous learning opportunities and growth to become a better provider each day.
What are you most proud of? Completing graduate school after working in the nursing field for 17 years with my family's support along the way.
