Practice philosophy: I believe the patient-healthcare provider relationship revolves around teamwork and good communication to reach a desired goal. Each patient deserves to be heard and given the adequate resources to achieve optimal health. I strive to develop lasting relationships with my patients and aid them on their journey to a healthy lifestyle.

If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? A doggie daycare owner

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I started my healthcare career as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in high school and was inspired by the people who I worked with over the years to become a nurse (LPN and RN) and nurse practitioner.

What is something you have learned from your patients? Treatment plans are not one size fits all. Each patient has their own unique life experiences, values, and beliefs that help formulate their individualized treatment plan.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Health care is constantly changing and there is always something new to learn in order to provide the best care for my patients.

What is your personal health goal? Having a healthy work-life balance

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Taking one day at a time to work towards a goal and never give up. It is ok to start over again as many times as you need.

What are a few of your personal achievements? Raising my children while I was in college for multiple nursing degrees.
