Practice philosophy: I insist on using shared decision making throughout the plan of care. In order to do so, a patient must have thorough education so that they may make informed decisions. I am hopeful that every patient encounter includes much asking and answering of questions.

What are you passionate about and why? Providing whole-person care. While the focus of care at a specific time may be attributed to a new or more complicated diagnosis, I refuse to ignore or neglect the overall wellness of an individual I care for. An attentive provider views the person as a whole and not by a diagnosis.

If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Basketball coach

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? In 9th grade, I wanted to career that allowed me to utilize my academic strengths in science to pursue building connections with other humans.

What is something you have learned from your patients? My patients have taught me that support systems provide strength in the hard times and happiness in the good times. They have shown me that humans are capable of remaining positive in any situation.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Patients that suffer from recurrent disease show a significant amount of determination if offered hope and options. While recurrent disease is unfortunate, I enjoy the perseverance employed together.

What is your personal health goal? Mental stability and physical fitness

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Sleep hygiene has significantly helped me tolerate various stressors and have a better exercise tolerance.

What are you most proud of? I am most proud of the feedback that I receive from my patients. Having an individual thank me and tell me that they have improved reminds me of why I put in so much effort to provide a high quality of care.
