Practice philosophy: Treat every patient as if they are family or friend

What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about caring for the whole person and making their treatment plan together. I provide individualized care to my patients by acknowledging their unique situations, educating patients and their families, and providing unconditionally compassionate, high-quality care.

If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Interior decorator

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a provider in 2013. I knew from a young age when my grandmother was ill I wanted to care for people and work in healthcare.

What is something you have learned from your patients? Empathy. Having empathy improves patient satisfaction, treatment compliance and clinical outcomes. Patients are more likely to follow their treatment plan and practice self-care when they feel heard.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? I enjoy the challenge of how healthcare is always changing. It is an important aspect in healthcare because it helps maintain quality and integrity and supports a safe care environment.

What is your personal health goal? Work life balance

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Being physically active, eating a healthy and balanced diet and getting adequate amounts of sleep are essential to long-term health and wellbeing.

What are you most proud of? I am most proud of continuing my education and graduating while raising young kids.

What are a few of your personal achievements? Earning a top GPA in college, teaching undergrad nursing at Bethel and precepting NP students, volunteering in the community and joining work committees that I am passionate about.
