What are you passionate about and why? I have a strong passion for providing up-to-date evidence based care, conduct efficient medical history review with patients, apply literature findings appropriately to patient problems, involve my patients in the entire clinical decision making process and fully educate my patients along the way.

If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Farmer, Engineer

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a Nurse Practitioner after my niece was stillborn at 36 weeks gestation. The empathy, advocating, and team-work that occurred left an imprint during one of the most difficult times of my life

What is something you have learned from your patients? Every condition, need, ability, routine and goal is unique to each individual and their plan of care should reflect all these attributes to maximize their health.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? The lack of knowledge on all fronts. I thoroughly enjoy educating my patients as well as coworkers while also taking the opportunity to learn from each of them as well.

What is your personal health goal? Be active

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Take care of yourself, it is easy to forget to take the time to care for oneself which in turn can have negative impacts on many fronts.

What are you most proud of? My family including my significant other, children and extended family who have taken the time to support me over the years and mold me into the person I am today.
