What are you passionate about and why? I'm an ally to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities and have extensive training and experience identifying how systems of oppression and generational trauma impact a person’s presenting concerns.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Talk show host
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I have always known that I wanted to be a helper. My curiosity in others, genuine interest in hearing life stories, and my gift of gab made this the perfect career.
What is something you have learned from your patients? I learn from patients all the time. One of the greatest lessons I have learned is to hold space effectively.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? I like helping providers to strengthen culturally informed care, improve therapeutic interventions, and enhance case conceptualization of BIPOC patients.
What is your personal health goal? Try to stick to a consistent sleep routine.
What are you most proud of? I'm proud of my grit, perseverance, and willingness to never give up. I'm also proud of my two kiddos.
