Dr. Pedersen grew up in Minneapolis attending high school at Benilde-St. Margaret’s and he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering at Iowa State University He then obtained his medical degree at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He began his surgical training in general surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas and finished his training specializing in vascular surgery at the Minneapolis Heart Institute at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
His professional interests include cerebrovascular disease, aneurysms and dissections, thoracic outlet syndrome, peripheral arterial disease and limb salvage, and hemodialysis access. He offers minimally invasive treatments for carotid artery stenosis including TCAR, as well as minimally invasive treatment for aortic aneurysms.
