Practice philosophy: I am a general gastroenterologist and have professional interests in colon cancer prevention, gastroesophageal reflux and other esophageal diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, and obesity medicine as it relates to gastrointestinal disorders. I strive to deliver high quality care with shared decision making.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Chemical engineer - that is my undergraduate degree
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I was inspired to become a physician at age 10, after illness and loss in my family.
What is something you have learned from your patients? It is important to listen. People bring different concerns and experiences to the table, and may also have different goals and/or obstacles to treatment.
What is your personal health goal? Improved physical fitness
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? The best advice I received is "prioritize time for sleep, exercise, and an activity that makes you happy".
