Practice philosophy: As a nurse practitioner, I want to see each patient for who they are as a human, not just treating their illness or disease. I want to make my patients feel comfortable, respected, and heard. I will provide strong, compassionate care for all patients, while continuing to advocate for each patient along the way.
What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about providing compassionate care for all patients and advocating for them along the way.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Teacher
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I grew up in a family surrounded by heath care, either as patients or providers. I have always loved helping others and knew I wanted to work in a field where I would have that opportunity every day.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Stress reduction and healthy sleep are vital to achieving your healthiest self. Finding ways to fit in exercise and healthy nutrition can help with both decreasing stress and better sleep.
What are you most proud of? Becoming a mother - my children are my world, and seeing them grow into beautiful people each day has been a dream come true.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Having two children while completing my graduate schooling. This was tough! Somehow I ran a marathon, worked as a labor and delivery nurse, got married, and had two children during doctoral school.
