Practice philosophy: I work with you and your providers to educate and optimize medication use. I take action to correct drug therapy problems and follow up to ensure resolution. I combine clinical evidence and with your personal goals and values to empower you to make informed decisions about your health and medicines.
What are you passionate about and why? Accessing and navigating healthcare can be a daunting and confusing task for many patients. I am passionate about meeting patients where they are and customizing medication plans around their values to achieve optimal health outcomes.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? A tour guide for one of the national parks
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? My dad is a doctor and my mom is a nurse. I knew I wanted to help people too. Pharmacy provided me a platform to explore my hard-science interests and my desire to interact with patients directly.
What is something you have learned from your patients? If I listen to the patient close enough, the right plan forward usually presents itself.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? You must have scientific knowledge, be able to communicate effectively and then actually make it happen. I enjoy this because it means, to truly succeed, I have to become a more complete human being.
