What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about helping others in a way that lets them know they are important. It could be as simple as smiling, listening, or talking with them. It could be more physical such as helping with their healthcare needs, errands, house work, etc. Meet people where they are.

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? When I was a nursing assistant, a nurse suggested I go to nursing school and that changed my career plans for life. I enrolled in nursing school and never looked back.

What is something you have learned from your patients? Never assume you know what's best for the patient. Take time to listen, as they usually have a good idea of what is wrong with them and what they need.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Always learning something new. Practice guidelines change as new treatments arise, which is continuously.

What is your personal health goal? Work/life balance!

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Keep moving by walking, running, playing with grandchildren, or whatever activity you like, preferably outside. Take time every day to care for your spiritual and mental health.

What are a few of your personal achievements?Completing my Doctorate of Nursing Practice. Going on four mission trips in Mexico. Five years helping families without a home through FPAC. Raising four wonderful children.
