Amy McKeen, DPT
Physical Therapist
My specialties:
- Physical therapy
Professional interests:
- Spine
- Movement impairments
- Pain
- Pilates
Clinical expertise: Spine, movement impairments and pain science. I am fully certified in the APPI Method of Clinical Pilates (Mat and Large Equipment), which has modified the original Pilates exercises for the rehabilitation setting so they can be performed safely. My overall treatment approach focuses on identifying and correcting the faulty movement patterns that are the underlying cause of a client’s pain.
The best part of my work is helping people regain their function and seeing them be able to return to the activities that they enjoy.
I became a physical therapist because I was fascinated by human anatomy, and I enjoy the critical thinking involved in evaluating and treating orthopedic musculoskeletal problems.
My philosophy is that physical therapy is an art and a science. I strive to provide comprehensive, evidence-influenced, personalized treatment in a compassionate yet professional manner.
