Jason Prostrollo, DO

Practice philosophy: I understand that there are many ways to raise children. My goal during clinic visits is to listen to and partner with, families to provide the best, individualized care for each child. I believe strongly in the national pediatric health recommendations and strives to keep myself and the families I work with up-to-date with best practices for raising strong healthy children.

What are you passionate about and why? Passionate about helping kids stay healthy, safe and become successful adults in this world.

If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Something in business or engineering.

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I've known I wanted to be a pediatrician since I was young. My mother was a pediatric nurse for years and after hearing some of her stories, I was hooked!

What is something you have learned from your patients? Trust is really important to kids. If you can earn their trust then my ability to help care for them increases dramatically since they will finally tell you how they are feeling.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Recognizing that the parents only want what is best for their kids and sometimes they are fearful to make mistakes. If I can build trust with the families I can then help them through situations.

What is your personal health goal? To spend more time taking care of myself

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Make a routine prioritizing personal health. If you can stick to the routine for 3 weeks it will stick!

What are you most proud of? My children and the amazing people they are becoming.

What are a few of your personal achievements? Chief Resident from 2013-2014; Board Member of a physician owned practice after only 2 years of employment from 2016-2017; Lab Director of 3 clinics from 2017-2023.
