Practice philosophy: I enjoy family medicine because of the various age ranges of patients and potential health care needs. I am interested in promoting evidence-based preventative and acute health care and supporting patients in their health care decisions

What are you passionate about and why? Working with patients and developing a plan together offers a holistic approach in care, supports the patient/provider working relationship, and enhance a patient’s quality of life. Providing health care services in a rural area is unique and has the ability to enhance patient care and health goals

If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Veterinarian or accounting

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I was undecided after high school. I chose medicine after working as a CNA for years, realizing my passion for providing care. FNP promotes health and provide healthcare in a collaborative approach.

What is something you have learned from your patients? Each patient is unique and so is the importance to take the time to listen to each one of them

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Healthcare is continuously changing and staying up to date on evidence-based practice can be challenging and rewarding.

What is your personal health goal? Exercise 4-5 days a week and improve my own nutritional goals

What are you most proud of? Completion of my educational journey and attaining a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Education is ongoing and never-ending. Find your goal and go for it

What are a few of your personal achievements? Working in various RN roles and embracing new opportunities to grow and enhance my own learning experiences. Completion of my educational journey was one of the greatest accomplishments I have done
