What are you passionate about and why? I'm passionate about advocating for patients and pride myself on being more of a listener than a talker.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? A waitress or airline attendant
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you?I became a provider after working in various areas caring for mental health patients'. I realized my compassion and interests circled around helping others in various stages of mental health crises.
What is something you have learned from your patients? I have learned that it is better to be a great listener than a great talker.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? I do believe a challenge that would bring joy is keeping up on all the new treatments available for individuals with mental health concerns.
What is your personal health goal? My personal health goal is to remain physically active throughout my life.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? The best thing I've done for my health is to quit smoking.
What are you most proud of? I'm most proud of independently raising three beautiful, kind, and unique daughters.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Training for and completing marathons in my 40's. Being a lifelong learner and completing my DNP as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2021.
