What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about accessible, quality care for diverse populations and providing continuity of care that includes pregnancy, delivery, childhood and adolescence.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? National Geographic photojournalist, sharing stories across diverse landscapes and cultures.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I was drawn to family medicine/obstetrics to develop relationships with families across generations, while public health has equipped me to address structural factors impacting the larger community.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Exploring the outdoors through different activities, such as hiking and biking, and trying new fitness classes with family and friends.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Working as AAFP Robert Graham Center Visiting Scholar on research, policy and advocacy for family physicians providing obstetric care, running 3 marathons and becoming baking buddies with my grandma.
