What is your practice philosophy? Empowering patients to achieve their health care goals by providing care that is tailored to each unique individual.
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: Travel planner. I would get to combine my passion for travel while also helping others!
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? When I was a teenager, my father had several cardiac procedures. I remember the nurses and providers took amazing care of not only my father but also ensured that I was cared for as the family member. As a health care provider, I get the opportunity to make a positive impact on the life of others every day.
Something I have learned from my patients is: To never underestimate the power of listening. Being a provider is like being a detective, sometimes the smallest clues are what lead you to the correct diagnosis.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): The dynamic nature of medicine, which requires me to stay up to date with the latest research. I love learning new information and being able to share this knowledge with my patients.
My personal health goal is: To practice what I preach. I want to always model a healthy lifestyle for my patients and for my own well-being.
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? Incorporating movement into each day, no matter how small. Exercise is one of the best things you can do to improve both physical and mental health.
